Interview with the Author Vicky Singh

1.            Tell us something about yourself.

A. I am a management professional, working as a General Manager in a private firm. I like to travel, read books and writing is my passion.

2.            What compelled you to write this book?

A. My mother’s unconditional love and her aura. I wanted to make her immortal through this book. I wanted to convey this world that some connections / relationships are never meant to die, it lives forever through soul.

3.            From how long have you been writing this book? What challenges did you face while writing?

A. Honestly speaking, I am writing this book from April 2021, which is been more than a year, before it’s published.

There’s no such challenge except how to structure the book, it wasn’t planned, it just happened with the flow.

4.            What is the most memorable moment for you throughout the journey of the book?

A. Obviously, when I have completed the book. I have never thought that I could ever write a book or publish it, though I like to write poems and poetries. Therefore, when I have completed the book it was a memorable moment for me.

5.            Is writing your hobby or passion?

A. Passion

6.            Are you planning to write again?

A. Yes, I have even mentioned that in the back cover of my book.

7.            Do you believe that when author dies a reader is born?

A. Pretty much, as it is rightly said by the great, Mr. Roland Barthes.

8.            For you, what is literary success?

A. It means a lot. I believe to be an author in itself a great achievement, however, getting literary success for your work is humongous, a definite overwhelming feeling and a sense of pride. 

9.            Do you have any piece of advice for the budding authors out there?

A. It’s an honour to advice someone in the field where even I am a novice. However, I would like advice my heart out that always listen to your heart and believe in yourself, be proud of what you are and just keep doing your best with honesty. Writing is all about patience and perseverance. It also needs inner peace and going deep inside your soul.
