- Tell us something about yourself.
My name is Dr. Manju Shroff. I am a Ph.D. by qualification with a special interest in child psychology and cognitive development. I also coach young students and help them prepare for various examinations.
- What compelled you to write this book?
While the activities in the book are sui generis and I did them with my daughter. I now sincerely feel that Millennials must also have this technique and skill to spend qualitative time with their young ones while at the same time helping their young ones in improved cognitive development. Guiding for better and more engaging parenting by Millennials has been one of the objectives of writing this book.
- From how long have you been writing this book? What challenges did you face while writing?
I am not a person who loves to write, but I do pen my thoughts occasionally. Since I also coach young students so in that sense, pen and paper is not pariah to me in this otherwise hyper-digital world.
- What is the most memorable moment for you throughout the journey of the book?
There are many distinct and unique flavors in the journey of writing. But the most memorable has to be when I gave the manuscript of this book for proofreading to my friends who themselves are young parents; they used the book’s techniques with their children and have found tremendous positive results. Their feedback is indeed the most memorable of all.
- Is writing your hobby or passion?
It is neither.
- Are you planning to write again?
This is my first book, and I am willing to explore more and write more on grammar teaching techniques to young students.
- Do you believe that when an author dies, a reader is born?
I believe that authors today have higher responsibility of being factually correct. It is really difficult for a reader to separate content from the identity.
- For you, what is literary success?
For me, when any literary work achieves its objective and edifies its reader, it is a literary success.
- Do you have any piece of advice for the budding authors out there?
This is my first book. It will be naive of me to advise others.
- What it’s like to be with 24by7 publishing?
It was a great experience. They are professionals indeed—my best wishes to them for their future endeavors.
