Pulika Sharma belongs to Delhi, done her MHA from Gurgaon. She is a mother of a son, active writer on social subjects. Her interest is to write about women issues, traveling and food.

  • Tell us something about yourself.

I graduated with a degree of MHA. I chose that field as I wanted to explore new things. I have 4 years of experience in hospitality management. I have worked at ARTEMIS Hospital, FORTIS Hospital. Post my motherhood, I started writing articles on women’s social issues education and about child labour in varies platforms.

  • What compelled you to write this book?

When I started reading books, my motivation grew up to writing my own book.

  • From how long have you been writing this book? What challenges did you face while writing?

I have taken 6–7 months to complete this project. The challenges I faced for writing this book are lack of confidence, fear of acceptance and competition among other books in the market. Apart from that, the content of the book was a challenge for me to bring on paper in the form of words.

  • What is the most memorable moment for you throughout the journey of the book?

While doing characterization for the roles of the person in my book and during the finalization of the book name.

  • Is writing your hobby or passion?

Writing is my hobby and I used to write whenever I got a new idea.

  • Are you planning to write again?

Yes, I have got some new ideas for the book in my hand and I am working on them.

  • Do you believe that when author dies a reader is born?

Yes, I believe it happens in most of the cases where more readers are born post one great author’s death as his work is admired by lots of new readers in the world. Some of my favourite authors are Premchand, Rabindranath Tagore, T.S. Eliot and William Shakespeare.

  • For you what is literary success?

I want my readers to appreciate my work and properly understand the message I want to share in the society.

  • Do you have any piece of advice for the budding authors out there?

I advise new writers to come up with their creativity and idealism to bring new ways of writing present issues of society, culture and diversity of our country.
